Getting Started

Your first steps into the galaxy

Astral War is a real-time space action game where you pilot your own ship, hunt down aliens, engage in PvP battles with other players, and upgrade your gear to become the most powerful pilot in the galaxy.

Create Your Account

Register with a callsign (your pilot name), email, and password. This is your identity in the galaxy.

Choose Your Faction

Pick a faction to align with. Your faction determines your allies and rivals.

Spawn into the Starter Map

You'll begin in a safe starter zone with your first ship. Take time to learn the controls and explore.

Set Up Your Base

Head to your Player Base to start building. Place miners to generate income and sentries to defend.

05

Accept Your First Mission

Open the Missions panel to find tasks that reward credits, experience, and equipment.

Don't forget to spin the Daily Wheel every day for free rewards!

Resources

The currency of the galaxy

There are three main resources in Astral War. Managing them wisely is the key to success.

Credits

The primary currency. Earn from miners, missions, and combat. Used to buy ships, weapons, ammunition, and upgrades.

A

Astrals

Premium currency. Can be purchased with real money. Used for rare items, premium ammo, and fast upgrades.

S

Scrap

Crafting material generated by miners. Used in foundry recipes to craft special equipment.

Player Base

Your command center and home

Your base is your command center. It's where you manage your defenses, miners, and upgrades. Keeping your base strong is essential for protecting your resources.

Hull Integrity

Your base's health points. If hull reaches zero, your base is destroyed and you must respawn.

Shield Power

Acts as an extra layer of protection. Shields absorb damage before your hull takes hits.

Base Upgrade

Upgrading increases hull integrity and shield power. Each level requires more credits.

Base Layout

On desktop, a dual-sidebar layout. On mobile, use the bottom navigation tabs to switch between panels.

TIP

You can zoom in/out on the base map to get a better view of your defenses.

Sentries

Automated defense turrets

Sentries are automated defense turrets that protect your base from enemy attacks. They fire at hostile targets within their attack range.

Buy

Purchase sentries from the base shop. Different sentry types have different stats.

Place

Position sentries around your base on the map. Strategic placement maximizes coverage.

Upgrade

Level up sentries to increase their health, shield, and damage per level.

Repair

After attacks, your sentries may be damaged. Repair them to restore full health.

TIP

Spread sentries around your base perimeter rather than clustering them.

Miners

Automated resource generators

Miners are your primary source of passive income. They automatically generate credits and scrap over time.

Placing Miners

Buy miners from the shop, then place them on your base map. Each miner has a conversion time.

Collecting Resources

Miners accumulate resources until collected. Tap a miner and hit CLAIM to collect, or use CLAIM ALL.

Conversion Time

How long it takes to generate one batch of resources.

Foundry Recipes

Advanced miners support foundry recipes — set a recipe to convert scrap into specific resources or equipment.

WARNING

Miners can be damaged by enemy attacks. Always protect them with sentries.

Hangar & Ships

Customize and equip your ship

The Hangar is where you manage your ship and loadout. Equip weapons, boosters, extras, and configure your ship for combat.

Equipment Slots

Weapon Slots for lasers, Booster Slots for engines or shields, Extra Slots for special devices.

Configurations

Each ship supports 2 loadout configurations (C1 and C2). Switch between combat and speed setups on the fly.

Quick Equip

Auto-fill slots with your best available equipment: Best Weapons, Best Shields, Fastest Engines.

Captains

Commanders that boost your stats

Captains are unique commanders you assign to your ship. Each captain provides passive percentage bonuses to your stats like HP, shield, damage, speed, experience gain, and credit earnings. Choose the right captain to match your playstyle.

Default Captain

Every player starts with a default captain at no cost.

Purchase

Buy new captains with Credits or Astrals from the captain selection screen.

Requirements

Some captains require a minimum level or ascension count to unlock.

Equipping a Captain

Open the Hangar and look for the Captain section. Click your current captain to open the dropdown, then select any captain you own. Your stat bonuses update immediately.

Use x1 ammo for farming weak NPCs and switch to x3/x4 for PvP or tough enemies.

Combat

Fight for dominance

Combat in Astral War is real-time. Hunt alien NPCs for rewards and fight other players in PvP on the world map.

Combat HUD

Your HUD shows health bar, shield bar, target info, and ammo count during combat.

Damage Calculation

Total damage = Sum of all weapon damage × Ammo multiplier. More weapons + higher ammo tier = more damage.

Death & Respawn

When destroyed, you respawn at a safe location. Dying may cost some resources.

WARNING

Engaging stronger players can result in losing resources. Check a target's level before attacking!

NPC Enemies & Rewards

Know your target before you pull it

Every hostile in the galaxy, what it can do to you, and exactly what it pays out. Rewards scale with how dangerous the target is — a tougher hull means a bigger payout, but the jump in reward is deliberately smaller than the jump in difficulty, so climbing tiers is a real step up rather than a shortcut.

Red-dot enemies are aggressive and will open fire on sight. The rest only fight back once you engage them.

TIP

Rewards are per kill and are not affected by how long the fight takes — so the best farm is the strongest enemy you can kill quickly and reliably, not the strongest one you can barely beat. Ion Storms and Cosmic Blessing weather events multiply credit and astral payouts, so check the map before a long grind.

The Marketplace is where players trade equipment, ammunition, rockets, and other items with each other.

Fixed Price

Set a price and wait for a buyer. First come, first served.

Auction

Set a starting bid and let players compete. Highest bid wins when the timer expires.

Pricing Rules

Min price: 75% of shop value. Max price: 300%. Fee: 5%. Max 10 active listings. Min level 5 to sell.

Complete tasks for rewards

Missions are tasks you can accept for rewards including credits, experience, and equipment. They are the fastest way to level up.

Available

Missions you can accept. Check requirements before accepting.

Active

Your current missions with progress tracking. Complete objectives to claim rewards.

Completed

History of finished missions and collected rewards.

TIP

Always keep a mission active. You might complete objectives passively.

Bounties

Hunt players for rewards

Bounties let you place a price on another player's head. Pay credits or astrals as a reward and other players can hunt your target.

Post a Bounty

Enter a target callsign, set a reward (min 1,000 credits or 10 astrals), and choose a duration.

Accept a Bounty

Browse active bounties and accept ones you want to hunt. Destroy the target to claim the reward.

Claim Reward

When you destroy a bounty target, the reward is automatically paid out.

04

Cancel

You can cancel your own active bounties for a full refund.

RULES & LIMITS

  • ● Maximum 3 active bounties per player at a time

World Map

Explore 20 maps across the galaxy

The galaxy consists of 20 maps connected by portals, divided across two factions, neutral zones, and ascended territories. Each map has different NPC types, difficulty levels, and rewards. Portals are bidirectional warp gates — fly to one to travel to a connected map.

Portals

Warp gates that teleport you between connected maps. All portal connections are bidirectional — you can travel back the same way you came.

NPCs

AI-controlled enemies scattered across every map. Kill them for experience, credits, honor, and mission progress. Higher maps have tougher NPCs with better rewards.

Other Players

Encounter other pilots — allies from your faction and enemies from rival factions. PVP maps allow cross-faction combat.

Map Size

Standard maps are 20,000 units. Earth x5 is 25,000 units. Ascended Alpha and Beta are 45,000 units. Ascended Chaos is a massive 100,000 units.

TIP

The Asteroid Belt is the central crossroads of the galaxy — both factions pass through it to reach advanced maps. Be ready for PVP encounters there.

WARNING

Higher-level maps have stronger NPCs and more hostile players. Gear up before venturing beyond your starter zone! Ascended maps require at least 1 ascension to access.

Station Docks

3D interior combat zones inside space stations

Station Docks are 3D interior environments inside space stations. When you dock at a station, you enter a real-time multiplayer arena where you can fight NPCs, battle other players, and collect loot — all rendered in full 3D.

How to Enter

Fly your ship to a space station on the map and dock. Once docked, you become invulnerable to space PvP and enter the 3D station interior.

Safe Zone

A protected area near the spawn point where you cannot take or deal damage.

Auto-Regen

After 10 seconds without taking damage, your HP and shield fully regenerate.

Death Cooldown

If you die, there is a respawn cooldown before you can rejoin the fight.

Boosters Active

Your active boosters (speed, damage, shield) carry into the station.

Real-Time Sync

All players see each other moving and fighting in real time.

NPC Combat

Fight hostile NPCs roaming the station. They have their own AI — some are passive until provoked, others will aggro on sight. Defeating NPCs rewards EXP, Credits, Honor, and sometimes Scrap.

PVP Combat

Attack other players inside the station. Damage is calculated from your equipped gear. Be careful — there is a Safe Zone near the spawn point where combat is disabled.

Bonus Boxes

Collectible loot boxes spawn throughout the station. Walk over them to pick up rewards like credits, ammo, and resources. They respawn after a timer.

Station Ammo

Stations use their own ammo system. Select your active ammo type to change your damage output — stronger ammo deals more damage but is consumed on each attack.

TIP

Stock up on station ammo before entering. Use the safe zone to plan your attacks and check your health before venturing deeper.

WARNING

Each station has its own unique layout, colors, and NPC spawns. Different stations offer different challenges and rewards!

Drones

Autonomous combat companions

Drones are autonomous units that fly alongside your ship. They can be equipped with their own weapons and shields.

Max 6 Drones

You can deploy up to 6 drones at once for maximum firepower.

Equipment Slots

Each drone has 2+ equipment slots for weapons (lasers) and shields.

Shared Inventory

Drones use the same weapons and shields from your inventory.

Managing Drones

Go to the Hangar DRONES tab. Select a drone and equip weapons and shields to its slots.

TIP

Equip lasers on drones for extra damage. A fully equipped drone fleet can nearly double your DPS!

Extras & Cells

Special equipment and upgrades

Extras are special devices equipped in extra slots providing unique effects. Cells are upgrades that boost extra effects.

Auto Rocket

Automatically fires rockets at targets.

Overdrive

Temporarily boosts ship speed and damage.

Damage Cell

Increases all weapon damage output.

Shield Cell

Enhances shield regeneration and capacity.

Action Bar

Your quick-access combat toolbar

The action bar sits at the bottom center of the screen with 10 customizable slots. Assign ammo, rockets, extras, repair bots, and overdrive cells for instant access during combat. Settings and Exit buttons are stacked on the right side.

Assignable Items

Ammo types (x1 through x4 tiers), rocket types, equipped extras (Cloak, Stargate Device), Repair Bot, and Overdrive cells (Speed, Damage, Shield, All).

Slot Display

Each slot shows the item name (centered), quantity (bottom), a type badge (AMO, RKT, EXT, REP, OVR), and a color-coded accent line.

Desktop Controls

Left-click an empty slot to open the picker. Left-click a filled slot to use the item. Right-click any slot to reassign or clear it. Keys 1-9 and 0 activate slots 1-10.

Mobile Controls

Tap an empty slot to open the picker. Tap a filled slot to use the item. Long press (0.5s) a filled slot to reassign or clear it.

The Picker

Shows all available items grouped by type: ammo, rockets, equipped extras, and overdrive cells. If the slot already has an item, a CLEAR SLOT option appears at the bottom.

Overdrive Boost Bar

When an overdrive cell is active, a progress bar appears above the action bar showing the boost type, percentage, and remaining time.

Settings

Click the gear icon to configure Zoom/FOV (1x, 1.5x, 2x), Sounds (On/Off), Font Size, and Graphics (Normal/Optimized).

Slot Persistence

Your slot assignments are saved automatically and restored when you log back in.

TIP

Set up your action bar before entering dangerous zones. Assign your strongest ammo, rockets, and repair bot so you can switch instantly during combat.

Free daily rewards

Spin the Lucky Wheel once per day for a chance to win free rewards! Prizes include credits, astrals, equipment, ammunition, and more.

TIP

Make spinning the wheel the first thing you do every day. Over time, the free rewards add up significantly!

The Leaderboard shows the top players in the galaxy ranked by level and experience.

Gold, silver, and bronze positions with special highlighting.

Faction Filter

Filter rankings by faction to compare faction standings.

Ascension

Transcend and become more powerful

Ascension is the endgame progression system in Astral War. Once you reach Level 16, you can choose to Transcend — resetting your level and EXP back to 1/0 in exchange for powerful permanent bonuses. Each ascension makes you stronger than before.

Reach Level 16

Grind through missions, NPC kills, and bounties until you hit level 16. This is the minimum requirement to ascend.

Open the Ascension Screen

From the main menu, tap the ASCENSION button to open the Ascension panel.

Hit Transcend

Press the TRANSCEND button and confirm. Your level and EXP reset to 1/0, but you receive 1 Ascension Point.

04

Spend Your Points

Use your ascension points to buy permanent upgrades. Each time you ascend, you gain another point to invest.

Permanent Upgrades

Each Ascension Point can unlock +3% bonus per level in Damage, Shields, or Health. Max 15 levels each (45% total bonus).

Ascended Maps

Unlock exclusive cross-faction zones with tougher NPCs, rarer loot, and faction base competition for map control bonuses.

Faction Base Control

Compete to build faction bases on ascended maps. The controlling faction earns +10% EXP and +10% Credits on that map.

Stargate Device

Teleport to any map instantly using Astrals. Send teleport invites to nearby players.

Stealth Technology

Purchase a stealth cloak that makes you invisible to NPCs and players. Lasts until you fire or take damage.

Bonus Drone Slot

Unlock an additional drone slot with 3 equipment slots for even more firepower.

Apex Ship

The most powerful ship in the game, available only to ascended pilots. Superior stats across the board.

Ascension Badge

Display a special icon next to your callsign showing your ascension count, visible on the map and leaderboards.

Ascension Missions

Exclusive tougher challenges on ascended maps with greater rewards in credits, EXP, and rare drops.

TIP

Don't rush to ascend. Make sure you're well-equipped and have strong miners generating passive income before resetting your level. The gear you keep will carry you through the early levels much faster the second time around.

WARNING

Ascending resets your level and EXP to 1/0. Your ships, equipment, resources, and base are NOT affected — only your level progress resets.

Stargate Device

Instant teleportation across the galaxy

The Stargate Device is an ascension-exclusive extra that lets you jump to any map in the game instantly — no portals needed. It costs Astrals per jump.

Acquire the Stargate

Buy the Stargate Device from the shop (costs credits + astrals). Requires at least 1 ascension.

Equip It

Go to the Hangar and equip it into one of your 3 extra slots.

Assign to Action Bar

Right-click an empty action bar slot and select the Stargate Device from the picker.

Activate

Click the Stargate slot (or press its key 1-0) to open the destination overlay.

Choose Destination

Select a map from the full-screen overlay. Each destination shows the map name, cost in Astrals, and your current Astral balance.

Channel the Wormhole

Press ACTIVATE WORMHOLE. A 5-second channeling bar appears. If it completes, Astrals are deducted and you teleport.

Channeling Interrupts

The 5-second channel is interrupted if you take damage from NPCs or players, click CANCEL, or press ESC. No Astrals are deducted if interrupted.

Standard Map Cost

Typically 10 Astrals per jump to standard maps.

Ascended Map Cost

Typically 50 Astrals per jump. Requires at least 1 ascension to access.

Restrictions

Cannot jump to the map you're already on. Cannot jump without enough Astrals.

Mobile Usage

Tap a destination to select, tap the jump button, swipe to scroll destinations. Tap CANCEL to interrupt channeling.

TIP

The Stargate is perfect for escaping dangerous situations — start channeling to a safe map when enemies approach. Just make sure no one hits you during the 5-second window.

WARNING

Make sure you're in a safe area before activating the Stargate. Taking any damage during the 5-second channel will cancel your jump!

Space Weather Events

Dynamic map-wide effects that change gameplay

Space weather events are dynamic map-wide effects that alter gameplay for all players on the affected map. Only one event can be active at a time across all maps. Events last 5 minutes with a 15-minute cooldown between them, and spawn on a random map.

Event Duration

Each event lasts 5 minutes.

Cooldown

15-minute cooldown between events.

Selection

Random event type on a random map.

Global Limit

Only one event active at any time across all maps.

Solar Wind

A directional force pushes all ships on the map. Ships moving with the wind go at 115% max speed, against it at 70% max speed. Standing still? The wind slowly pushes your ship. NPCs are NOT affected — only player ships.

STRATEGY: Use the wind to your advantage when chasing or fleeing. Flying with the wind gives you a speed boost, flying against it slows you down significantly.

Ion Storm

ALL weapons deal 30% LESS damage (lasers, rockets, PvP). ALL NPC rewards are DOUBLED (EXP, honor, credits, astrals). Risk vs reward — weaker attacks but bigger payouts.

STRATEGY: Great time to farm NPCs for double rewards. PvP is less lethal. Tanky ships benefit more since damage reduction helps defense.

Cosmic Blessing

Ascended players only: +50% EXP and +25% credits on NPC kills. Non-ascended players get NO bonus. Encourages ascension progression.

STRATEGY: Best time for ascended players to grind NPCs. Non-ascended players should focus on other activities.

TIP

Watch the HUD indicator bar above the action bar and the minimap badge for active weather events. When an Ion Storm hits, rush to that map for double NPC rewards!

Advice from veteran pilots

Master the galaxy with these strategies from experienced pilots.

Economy First

Set up miners before investing in combat gear. A strong economy funds everything else.

Two Configs, Two Strategies

Use Config 1 for combat (weapons + shields) and Config 2 for travel (engines for speed).

Marketplace Flipping

Buy underpriced items and resell higher. The 5% fee means you need at least 6% profit margin.

Defend Before You Attack

Place sentries before leaving your base. An undefended base with full miners is a prime target.

Drone Army

Equip all 6 drones with lasers to massively boost your DPS.

Know When to Run
